Hello, and thank you for your interest in our program. Bar JP Quarter Horses, owned by Pete and Marilyn Peters, has been raising and training performance horses for over 30 years. Our focus has been to raise quality cowhorses for show and work.

The breeding program has been greatly influenced by the great Okie Leo, more specifically our deceased stallion – Okie’s Teddy Bear: Superior Calf Horse, Honor Roll Jr. Calf Horse at age three, High Point Calf Roping Stallion at age 5, with a total of 81 calf roping points, 22 reining and 14 working cowhorse points. After all of this he was shown briefly in the cutting earning some weekend money.

We then purchased a son of Smart Little Lena whom we crossed back on the Okie Leo and Okie's Teddy Bear mares. The influences of Win Or Lose, Freckles San Man and Doc Tom Tucker along with several other fine bloodlines also can be found in our broodmare band.

We are proud of our program and what it is producing. From prospects with the conformation, minds and hearts to be competitors in today's market to Non Pro and Youth riders and horses that stand the test of time. We invite you to call or come by and see for yourself.
